Locate fishing spots at a glance with multiple depth ranges in our Boating app!

1

The Fishing Ranges feature allows to customize and display on our SonarChart™ map layer up to 5 depth ranges at the same time! The app interface makes it really intuitive to set: choose a color, select the depth values and name your range: the map will show depth gradients with different color shadings. Want to know more? Big Changes to Texas Lakes

2

At Navionics, we continuously enhance our products and technology to provide our customers with the best possible experience, the most complete details, and relevant content. We are happy to announce new data on 34 Texas lakes. They include: Lake Lyndon B. Johnson and Joe Pool Lake. Some of the changes are quite noticeable, such as the Station Creek area of Lake Lyndon B. Johnson where the bathymetry extends closer to the shallow near-shore waters, and underwater creek channels are clearly marked. Numerous docks are now outlined, giving anglers more places to cast out for the largemouth bass, white bass, crappie, and catfish who inhabit in these waters.

A partnership to update Gouin Reservoir

3

Navionics is driven by a passionate commitment to support our customers’ enjoyment on the water. We continue enriching our chart coverage to include or update popular boating and fishing areas around the world.

In this continuous product enhancement effort, our path crosses with others that are driven by the same desire to provide boaters and fishermen with the best detailed charts. In this particular case, we have recently partnered with the “Corporation de gestion du réservoir Gouin” (Corporation for the Management of the Gouin Reservoir) to update this immense body of water.

The Gouin Reservoir is located in La Tuque, in Mauricie, in the central portion of the Canadian province of Quebec, fully within the boundaries of the City of La Tuque. It’s average depth‎ is ‎5 m (16 ft) with a surface area‎: ‎1,570 km2 (610 sq mi).

A seamless world on SonarChart™

Navionics, continuously enhances our products and technology to provide our customers with the best possible experience, the most complete details, and relevant content. We are glad to announce that as part of this effort, we have developed a new and improved way to integrate into our charts the sonar logs contributed by our users from all around the world. Now you will be able to enjoy a seamless experience when using the SonarChart layer.

So what has changed, you ask?

Now, we can do it faster! – For years, we’ve been adding depth data contributed by the Navionics community (boaters like you) using the SonarChart Live and other recording features at a speed that was unmatched by our competition. Through the help of state of the art computing, intricate algorithms, significant infrastructure investment and good ol’ fashioned sweat, recent improvements to system now validate and process those sonar logs at a higher speed. We are now, faster! This allows us to update the latest data in record time, often by orders of magnitude. Log on to www.navionics.com to check the status of your sonar contribution within the account page.
