National Professional Anglers Association (NPAA) ADA Compliance Policy

Purpose

The National Professional Anglers Association (NPAA) is committed to ensuring equal access and opportunity for individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable federal and state laws. This policy outlines our commitment to accessibility and inclusion in all aspects of our organization’s activities, services, and programs.

Scope

This policy applies to all NPAA employees, members, volunteers, contractors, and participants in NPAA-sponsored events and activities.

Policy Statement

The NPAA is dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of ability. We strive to ensure that our facilities, events, communications, and services are accessible to people with disabilities.

Specific Commitments

2.        Ensure that NPAA-owned or operated facilities are physically accessible to individuals with disabilities.

3.        Work with event venues to provide accessible accommodations for NPAA-sponsored tournaments, meetings, and other activities.

5.        Modify policies, practices, and procedures when necessary to ensure equal participation opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

6.        Provide auxiliary aids and services when required for effective communication.

7.        Digital Accessibility:

8.        Maintain an ADA-compliant website that follows Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

9.        Ensure that digital communications, including emails and social media content, are accessible to individuals using assistive technologies.

10.    Reasonable Accommodations:

11.    Provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities upon request, unless doing so would cause undue hardship or fundamentally alter the nature of our programs or services.

Implementation and Responsibility

The NPAA Board of Directors will designate an ADA Coordinator responsible for overseeing the implementation of this policy and addressing any ADA-related concerns or requests.

Review and Updates

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to ensure ongoing compliance with ADA regulations and best practices in accessibility.
