Bass fishing fans headed to the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex for the 2020 Bassmaster Classic and the Classic Expo will have no shortage of opportunities to cash in on great gear deals and meet their favorite Berkley pros.

Professional bass fishing’s top pros will be appearing in the Berkley booth each day at the Bassmaster Classic Expo. Anglers like Jordan Lee, Hank Parker, David Fritts, Scott Suggs, Bobby Lane, Bill Dance and many others will be on hand to do demonstrations of new hard baits and soft baits in the Berkley Bass Tank and will follow their presentations by signing autographs for fans in an in-booth, meet-and-greet opportunity.

Attendees who purchase new reels during the Classic Expo will receive complimentary line spooling on up to three reels. Reel buyers will be able to select from monofilament options, which will include Trilene XL, Trilene XT and Trilene Big Game. Fluorocarbon options for the promotion include Vanish and Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon; braid/superline options will be FireLine Ultra 8, X5 and X9 Braid. Complimentary line spooling is available on select pound-test versions of the line and is limited to 1,000 yards of line per customer.

Inside the Berkley booth, Berkley Fish Biologist Mark Sexton will be giving presentations delving into the science that drives the development of new baits and line. As industry pioneers in the utilization of extensive, science-based research as a means of delivering products that catch more and bigger fish, Sexton’s presentations will ultimately help bass anglers make better gear-selection choices and enhance their time spent on the water. The presentations will shed light on common misconceptions about line types and applications, bait performance and a host of other subjects upon which Berkley remains an industry leader.

At each day’s weigh-in inside Legacy Arena, Berkley will give packages of some of its most popular baits to a select number of fans. On Friday, March 6, the first 2,500 fans entering the weigh-in will receive a bag of the Berkley PowerBait Pit Boss. The first 5,000 fans entering the weigh-in on Saturday, March 7 will receive bags of the Berkley PowerBait Power Swimmer. For the final day’s weigh-in on Sunday, March 8, Berkley will give a bag of its PowerBait MaxScent The General to the first 7,500 fans.

The Berkley Experience Trailer will be on location at takeoff each day at Civitan Park in Guntersville, Alabama. In conjunction with daily takeoffs, which will occur at 7 a.m., Berkley will be providing samples of select baits while supplies last.

“There are so few opportunities like this one where anglers and professional bass fishing fans can both take advantage of great deals and promotions and, at the same time, have the chance to learn from and meet some of the top anglers in the sport,” said Berkley Vice President of Marketing Jon Schlosser. “The Bassmaster Classic is more than just another tournament — it’s a celebration of fishing on the sport’s biggest stage. Our vision for the event is that the Berkley booth will serve as the hub of this celebration.”
