Tell Congress – Support the Fish Habitat Bill

New legislation that would conserve, restore and enhance fish habitat across the country has been introduced in both the U.S. Senate and House. This bill matters to anglers because increasing fishing opportunities is a primary purpose of the habitat restoration projects conducted by the National Fish Habitat Partnership, which this bill would authorize.

Officially known as the National Fish Habitat Conservation Through Partnerships Act, the new bill has bipartisan support but needs more cosponsors to keep moving forward.

To date, National Fish Habitat Partnerships are responsible for more than 800 successful conservation projects in all 50 states. Cooperation by federal, state and local agencies, conservation and sportsmen’s organizations, private landowners and the business sector make these partnerships a powerful tool in improving habitat.

Tell your Members of Congress to support the National Fish Habitat Conservation Through Partnerships Act by asking them to sign on as a cosponsor today.
