Froehling Anderson Announces Winner of 2016 NPAA Conference Giveaway

Winner to Enjoy Canadian Fishing Trip at Eagle Lake Lodge

Minneapolis, MINN. – Hundreds of anglers attended the 2016 National Professional Anglers Association Conference held Jan. 8-10 in Wisconsin Dells. Only one angler, however, was lucky enough to be named the winner of Froehling Anderson’s Canadian fishing trip giveaway: Brent Long of Youngsville, Pennsylvania.

Long’s name was randomly selected from the list of anglers who signed up to win the fishing trip at Froehling Anderson’s conference booth. The trip includes three days and four nights—along with cabin accommodations, a boat and motor rental, two meals each day, and bait—at the beautiful Eagle Lake Lodge in Ontario, Canada.

Froehling Anderson’s booth and prize drawing was a huge hit at the conference. “We are excited for the winner and we know that Brent will have a fantastic trip.” Said, Gail Thompson, a manager at Froehling Anderson who works closely with anglers.

The fishing trip was not the only “giveaway” at the conference. Froehling Anderson provided four educational sessions on tax consequences of professional anglers and a custom fishing expense log. Thompson noted the sessions were well attended and the buzz of the conference. “Anglers learned that earning prizes from state to state requires then to file multi-state returns, putting them at risk for costly tax errors if not properly filed.”
