Now is the time to start making plans for the upcoming 2022 fishing season.  The National Bass Anglers Association is a perfect trail to add to your fishing schedule.  The NBAA offers two different trail opportunities to easily fit the busiest of fishing schedules.

The NBAA is a local TEAM Trail organization that allows you to pick your own partner and fish events that are close to home, which eliminates costly travel time, time off from work and saves you money but still provides a professional conducted National Championship event to qualify into.

It is easy to start a new NBAA Division in your area.  The Weekend Division Trail consists of five, one-day, 8-hour events, where you pick the lakes and dates.  If a full day of fishing is not possible and your weekends are already full, the Overtime Division offers twelve events that are fours hours long for each event.  These can be done after work, during a weekday, or on any day that fits your busy schedule.

An NBAA division can be what you want it to be a weekday event from 9 am-1 pm for retired anglers or shift workers, a guys and gals league, a parent/child league, whatever you want.  If you are in a state federation, a bass club, or a Tuesday night jackpot that already fishes a team-style format, an NBAA division will fit right in and you can run both events at one time, so there is no extra work but more opportunities!

The NBAA offers low entry fees of $100 per team on the 8-hour Weekend Division events and $42 per team on the 4-hour Overtime Division events, you can even get creative and run six, 8- hour overtime events at $84 instead of 12, 4 hours event at $42.  You can run a Spring division and a Fall division if you like. Each division event has a Big Bass Pot built right in and 85% of all entry fees stays local with the balance supporting a true National Championship event for those qualified team for your NBAA Division.

So, NBAA is locally oriented but you also have an opportunity to qualify for a “No Entry Fee” once a year vacation to a National Championship.  At the National Championship the first-place prize is a Ranger RT 198 with Ranger trailer, a 150-horsepower outboard, Minn Kota trolling motor and Humminbird electronics, and more.  Cash and sponsor prizes are also awarded deep into the field as well.

With NBAA Divisions scattered from coast to coast, the National Championship event is usually held in April and somewhere in the middle of the US at a destination lake. Past events have been held at Chickamauga, TN., Table Rock, MO., Grand Lake, OK., Turman Lake, MO., Kentucky Lake, TN., and other locations.
