Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing Hosts the LLGF Screamin’ Reels Tournament May 19-21, 2023 Islamorada, FL
No Boat? No Problem! Inshore or Offshore!
Novice anglers are invited to fish the non-intimidating LLGF Screamin’ Reels tournament May 19-21, 2023 in Islamorada, FL for inshore and offshore species. Hosted by the nonprofit Ladies Let’s Go Fishing Foundation with partnership with Plantation Boat Mart as Presenting Sponsor, the tournament kicks off on Friday with a presentation on fishing rules and conservation, plus a meet and greet from 6:30-8 pm at The Tavernier Elks Club.
Friendly fishing competition ensues Saturday and Sunday on inshore and offshore charter boats or private boats, departing from Whale Harbor Marina, Islamorada, FL and other locations.
$1,000 in individual angler prizes include Penn combos, art prints, shirts and more, presented on Sunday upon the return of boats at Whale Harbor. Awards include Top Offshore and Inshore Fish, Releases, Wild Card prizes and more.
This tournament offers easy rules designed for novice anglers, where anglers learn skills as they fish. Those with no boat can secure charter boat slots, which fill quickly so early registration is encouraged. Registration is $95 early entry, $119 regular per adult angler, $55 for teens and includes about $20 in gifts. Optional charter boat slots are extra. Women may register their males and teens.

About “Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!”
The Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing Foundation (LLGF) is a national charitable 501C3 organization dedicated to attracting women and families to fishing and encouraging conservation and responsible angling LLGF promotes networking among women anglers and emphasizes mentorships. Friday: Kickoff with rules and fishing presentation from 6:30-8 pm at Tavernier Elks.
Saturday and Sunday: Fishing, with $1,000 in prize awards at Whale Harbor Marina on Sunday. No experience required.
Species are legal inshore and offshore fish. Registration starts at $95 per angler, $55/teens plus optional charter fishing.
Early registration is recommended as charter boat slots are limited. LLGF offers a second keys event Oct. 13-15 with full day fishing seminar, two days of fishing and casual prizes.
