FLIR Systems Committed to Outdoor Communicators

FLIR and Raymarine bring top technologies, continued support and unique opportunities to media professionals at the 62nd Annual AGLOW Conference in Bismarck, North Dakota

WILSONVILLE, OR (September 4, 2018) – FLIR Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer of thermal imagers and marine electronics for the hunting, shooting, fishing and boating markets under the FLIR and Raymarine brands, announces its participation at the 62nd Annual Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers’ (AGLOW) Conference, September 10-13, in Bismarck/Mandan, North Dakota.

According to AGLOW Executive Director, Mark Smith, approximately 200 AGLOW members will attend the four-day event, which is designed to bring media members together with outdoors companies and destination marketing professionals for networking, craft improvement, hands-on product demonstrations and cross promotion.

“Our media members attend the AGLOW Conference for networking and, ultimately, story ideas,” says Smith. “New products are always of great interest to our communicators, and we rely on our corporate partners to showcase their newest technologies and offer the kinds of hands-on opportunities in the field that directly translate to stories. FLIR and Raymarine do a great job of staying in touch with our media professionals and providing them with all kinds of ongoing support for their communications work. It’s critical to the success of our organization, so it’s noticed and appreciated by our members very much.”

In addition to showing media members their latest Axiom multifunction displays at Super Breakout Day and on the water during fishing excursions throughout the week, Raymarine will also demonstrate its new Axiom UAV app, which automates and simplifies drone operation for fishing and boating applications right from any Axiom sonar/GPS unit. Axiom UAV comes as a part of the new Lighthouse 3.6 operating system—a free software download for all Axiom users.

Meanwhile, FLIR also will participate in Super Breakout Day, plus showcase its latest ThermoSight PRO thermal riflescopes and BREACH PTQ136 multifunctional thermal-imaging monocular at USCCA Shooting Day and throughout the week during a series of varmint hunts.
