Sturtevant, Wis., – Evinrude announced today Team Evinrude Professional Angler Jacob Wheeler won the Major League Fishing (MLF) Bass Pro Tour Stage Seven championship trophy. The event was held on Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri, May 31 through June 5. The next MLF event, Bass Pro Tour Evinrude Stage Eight, will be held June 25 through June 30 on Wisconsin’s Lake Winnebago.

The Top 10 field included fellow Evinrude anglers Cody Meyer and Scott Suggs, who finished third and seventh, respectively. Wheeler finished with a record-setting 213 bass weighing 315-pounds, 9-ounces.

“Fishing this week was a challenge,” said Wheeler. “The fish were really relying on offshore cover. There was a lot of moving around we had to do and I knew that I could count on my Evinrude E-TEC G2 to keep me in the fight.”
