The members of the Yahara Fishing Club were at the Warner Lagoon at 6:30am to string up all the rods, organize the livebait and bring in the food for their annual Kids Fishing Day. The weather was very questionable early, but improved as the day progressed. Over 200 kids took advantage of the free rod/reel combos, tackle boxes, expert instruction and food and drink. The bite was average, but some huge bluegills were caught along with a variety of different species. Over 200 adults also attended the event. The NPAA donated 40 combos to the event and the YFC is extremely grateful for the donation. It helped them put on a quality event. NPAA member Duffy Kopf #635 arranged for the donations and put together a promotional video of the event for the club to use.
